It's Flu Clinic Time
The following is the latest guidance for flu jabs in children in particular those who miss having it at school:
All children four to nine year old (with a date of birth between 1 September 2008 and 31 August 2013 inclusive) will be offered seasonal flu immunisation by the School Immunisation Service. This is regardless of whether they attend school (this includes children with deferred entry at Reception). Immunisation should be received within their school setting in the first instance. If a school aged child wishing to receive their flu immunisation then misses the opportunity at school (due to absence, sickness etc.), they should be referred to the School Immunisation Service (not their GP) who will offer alternative opportunities. Therefore please contact 01727 734026 to book their missed Flu immunisation not the surgery.
If you are an adult and you think you are in the at risk group and missed the flu clinics that we’ve already held, we will be further catch up sessions which will be sit and wait. Please contact the surgery if you would like to be added to these clinics.
Please remember to tell the member of staff if you’ve ever had a reaction to a previous flu jab, or if you are allergic to eggs.
